With over 1,100 members, we are the largest transportation association in New York State. Your participation assures that your voice is heard by state lawmakers.

NYSAOTSOH’s legislative efforts consistently make a difference in pursuing a larger share of transportation funding and reviewing any legislation concerning local highways. Our Board members are active in representing your needs before various state agencies and association partners such as OGS and the Cornell Local Roads Program.

NYSAOTSOH is prepared to support you in local matters which may threaten “home rule” or best practices in highway maintenance.

We communicate with members by email and twice each year through our newsletter Town Highway Lines with the latest news about state legislation, industry updates and association activities. Our website is also a growing resource for association and industry information. Our Fall Conference provides excellent training in management and best practices for highway departments.

Every Town Highway Superintendent in good standing has a vote at our Annual Meeting.

Your support of our Advocacy efforts helps us help local communities acquire funds for improved roads. This in turn supports growth in the highway industry as well as a better infrastructure for economic growth in the future.
